When I first set out on my travels abroad I used to not even think about luxury hotels. It would be a simple matter of going where ever I wanted to go and sleep in a tent or under a tree or where ever I could find shelter. These days were fun but honestly, I am so glad I moved on in life to find more.
Luxury travelling is a costly affair. It is very much a case of you pay for what you get. Some people out there still believe that they can pay 50 pounds and get a night at the Ritz. Well, maybe someone somewhere has done this but for the rest of us, reality means if you want top notch hotel rooms, you have to pay proper money for them.
The first place the reality hit me, big style, was on a trip to France. I have been several times now and always enjoy everything about the country. The French people who I meet tend to be nice, the food is great as long as you know where to go and the wine is good too, even if a little complex for the modern palate in comparison to "new world" wines. There is so much to see and you are nearly guaranteed some good weather down there.
Lets start our tour with one of my and my travel partners favorites, hotels in Menton and travel guide. This a a great small resort on the French Italian border and is wonderful if you dont want to get "Riviera sickness." I say this as you can, even when in 4 star Nice hotels get a bit sick of all the rushing about. Taking it calm at a reasonable pace is more what menton is all about.
Other places to find nice hotel in this areas include, 4 Star hotels in Cannes | Hotels in Antibes | Avignon Hotels | Beaulieu sur Mer | hotels in Juan les Pins | Marseille
All of the above are great and have a unqiuely warm French feel to them. Each one in it turn has something special to offer the holiday maker.
